Meet Our Staff

    Stacey Croft
    Campus Minister / Chaplain
    Stacey Croft

Stacey and Megan are Texans who moved to Nashville from Jackson, Mississippi, where he received his degree from Reformed Theological Seminary. After graduation he was the youth director at Christ the King Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Houston for two years. Stacey went on to be the youth director at Park Cities Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Dallas before moving to Jackson to finish seminary. Ministering to college students has been a love for Stacey and Megan for quite some time. They are thankful to be on the campus of Vanderbilt doing what the Lord has truly called them to do.

    Mallory Anderson
    Intern
    Mallory Anderson

Mallory was born and raised in the sunny cornfields of Omaha, NE. After spending a year at Saint Louis University (go Billikens!) she transferred to Northwestern University, where she got involved in RUF. She is excited to intern at Vanderbilt RUF, and is relieved that the Vandy HOD kids will understand her crazy Northwestern LOC major (Learning and Organizational Change). Mallory enjoys all things food-related, and can whip up a mean Tex-Mex feast. She also loves to sing, and has accepted the fact that people will continue to tell her that she could be cast as a young Susan Sarandon. When she’s not reading John Calvin, Dietrich Bonhoeffer or N.T. Wright, she throws in some Flannery O’Connor, just for kicks. At least that’s what she tells Stacey.

    Brett Taylor
    Intern
    Brett Taylor

Brett was born and raised in Dallas and was a Highland Park Scot like his beloved boss Stacey.  He attended TCU in Ft. Worth, Texas, where he served as front-man for the folk rock outfit Taylor & Young, but never reached “Big Man On Campus” status like Stacey did at Baylor.  Brett graduated in May 2007, and headed Northeast to Music City.  He has been the intern at Vanderbilt for two years, and plans on joining the staff for a third year in 2009.  Raised on James Taylor, Michael Martin Murphy and Jethro Tull, Brett has continued on as a singer/songwriter and an active member of the music community in Nashville, and has further developed a love for hymnody and music in the church.  He also associates himself with dominoes, House M.D., root beer floats, sarcasm, Wendell Berry, basketball, stuttering, and Gibson guitars.  Brett loves his home at Vanderbilt and the students he gets to hang with, and most days can be found at Brown’s diner.
